Draft 5/02/07 Meeting Minutes

Visitors: Malin Martin

Chair, Eric Matthews called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.

The next meeting will be June 6, 2007 at 7:00 at the Sheshequin Township Building.

Approval of minutes: April Minutes were passed as written by a Grenier/Matthews MOTION. The MOTION passed unanimously.

Public comment and questions: None

Communications: Township needs a Statement of Financial interest from Rob Sweppenheiser

New Business:
· There was a brief discussion about loggers and the requirement of a logging plan at the conservation district to address reseeding and drainage erosion aspects.
· Gregg attended the township supervisors State Association meeting in April and informed the commission about issues discussed at the meeting such as: farmland preservation, agricultural security, development rights, GIS, five year planning for townships, and township newsletters to inform residents of township meetings and issues.

Subdivisions:
· Mike & Missy Brown subdivision They are working with Brad Cummings and they are in need of a letter from the township for permission to build a bridge over Hornbrook Creek for their driveway. He will then submit all pertinent information to the DEP and then get a permit from the Township. The planning commission is concerned of the bridge being within the road right-of-way. A Graber/ Grenier MOTION to recommend support to the township supervisors as long as the road right-of-way issue is addressed. The MOTION passed unanimously

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m. by a Sheffler/Grenier MOTION. The MOTION passed unanimously.
