Sheshequin Township Planning Commission
Draft 08/03/05 Meeting Minutes

Members present: *Rob Sweppenheiser, *Greg Grenier, *Skip Smith, *Laura Blain; absent: Eugene Weisbrod, Ty Reynard, Karen Graber-Wright, Eric Matthews, Bryce Sheffler

Visitors: Josh Brown, Malin Martin, Gerald Place

In the absence of president Eric Matthews, Rob Sweppenheiser called the meeting to order at 7:00.

The next meeting will be September 7, 2005 at 7:00 at the Sheshequin Township Building.

Minutes from the last meeting were not available, so were not approved.

Public comment and questions: None.

Communications: A brochure for a planning and sewage facilities training session was shared. No one expressed interest in attending this session.

Old Business:
· Comprehensive Plan: Josh Brown presented the 1st Draft of the Transportation Section and Transportation Highlights., minor edits were noted.
  The Existing Land Use Map was reviewed, many corrections were noted, and questions about how land use was determined were discussed. The uses were divided into agriculture, commercial, forest/undeveloped, natural resource extraction, public, residential, and transportation/comm/util. This needs more work.
  Next meeting: Josh asked that all planning commission members try to attend this meeting. The geography section will be presented; and general mapping will be reviewed, with a work session if necessary. A timetable for the visioning meeting will be determined. Tentatively, the regular November meeting was suggested as a possible target date.

New Business:
· Subdivision: BCSC # 05-102, dividing 61.2 acres off (as lot #2) for Richard D. and Katie Ann Sink, from Richard Sink's existing 86.7 acres was reviewed. A Grenier/Smith motion was passed to recommend the supervisors
· Ty Rynard will be asked if he is interested in remaining on the commission.
