Sheshequin Township Planning Commission
Draft 03/01/06 Meeting Minutes

Members present: Laura Blain, Karen Graber, Greg Grenier, Eric Matthews, Bryce Sheffler, Skip Smith, Rob Sweppenheiser, Eugene Weisbrod; absent: Ron Rogers

Visitors: Josh Brown, Ethan Matthews, Nick Weisbrod

President Eric Matthews called the meeting to order at 7:10.

The next meeting will be April 5, 2006 at 7:00 at the Sheshequin Township Building.

Approval of minutes: February Minutes were passed as written by a Blain/Sweppenheiser motion. December meeting minutes were not available for approval.

Public comment and questions: Boy Scouts Ethan Matthews and Nick Weisbrod from Athens Troop #9 were in attendance as part of their Communications Merritt Badge.

Communications: Email was received from C.J. Marshall from the Bradford County Environmental Initiative Program.

Old Business:
· Eric Reminded the Commission that the Ethics forms are due by May 1, 2006
· PSATS-Convention. Laura Blain and Ron Rogers will be attending April 23-26.

Comprehensive Plan: Josh Brown - Subdivision land planning & development workshop thru PMPEI has been cancelled until further notice. Josh gave an update on the comprehensive plan.

Road Plan: The planning commission would like to ask the township supervisors how much funding has been earmarked in the town budget for road surface improvements? Also, Is there any extra funding available due to the recent transfer from the General fund to the State fund?
   The Planning Commission will work on the Road Plan at future meetings.

New Business:
· S. Smith asked about the enforcement of the junkyard ordinance. He stated that he would take up the issue with the Township Supervisors himself.
